A digital platform connecting users with discounts from 2,500+ retailers in Kosovo & Albania.
Project Overview
Zbritje was established as a central hub for consumers in Kosovo and Albania seeking discounts and deals from local retailers and restaurants. The platform aggregated offers from over 2,500 partners, providing users with easy access to savings across various product and service categories.
The core challenge was twofold: attracting a large user base actively looking for deals, and continuously onboarding and managing relationships with a diverse range of business partners. Success depended heavily on creating a seamless user experience and driving visibility through effective digital marketing.
My Role & Contributions (SEO, SEM, UX/UI Focus)
As founder, my focus on growth involved significant hands-on work in digital marketing and platform optimization:
- SEO Strategy & Implementation: Developed and executed a comprehensive SEO strategy focused on capturing high-intent search traffic for discount-related keywords. This included technical SEO audits, on-page optimization for deal categories and locations, local SEO tactics, and building relevant backlinks.
- SEM Campaign Management: Designed and managed paid search (SEM/PPC) campaigns to drive immediate traffic for high-value deals and promotions, targeting specific user segments and locations. Monitored campaign performance and optimized for conversions and ROI.
- UX/UI Improvements: Continuously analyzed user behavior (using analytics and user feedback) to identify friction points in the user journey. Led iterations on the UI/UX design to improve navigation, deal discovery, and the process of redeeming offers, ensuring a simple and intuitive experience.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Implemented A/B tests and other CRO techniques on landing pages and key conversion funnels to maximize the number of users successfully finding and utilizing deals.
- Analytics & Reporting: Set up tracking and reporting dashboards to monitor key metrics related to traffic acquisition (SEO, SEM, Social), user engagement, and conversion rates, using data to inform ongoing optimization efforts.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge: Driving relevant traffic in a competitive deals market with limited initial brand recognition.
Solution: Implemented a multi-pronged approach combining long-term SEO efforts targeting specific deal categories and locations with short-term, highly targeted SEM campaigns for immediate visibility on popular offers. Content marketing around saving money also played a role.
Challenge: Ensuring users could easily find relevant deals among thousands of offers from diverse partners.
Solution: Focused on UX improvements, including enhanced search functionality, better categorization, personalized recommendations (potential future step), and a cleaner UI. Simplified the process for viewing and using discount codes.
Challenge: Balancing user acquisition with partner acquisition and retention.
Solution: Used platform traffic data and user demographics gained from SEO/SEM efforts to demonstrate value to potential retail partners. Developed simple onboarding processes for businesses.
