PUNPUN - TV SHOW
A reality TV show offering a unique look into the company hiring process.
Project Overview
'PUNPUN' was a reality TV show concept designed to demystify the corporate world for viewers by providing an inside look at how companies approach job creation and the hiring process. Aired over two seasons on national television and digital platforms, the show aimed to be both informative and engaging.
The format followed real companies as they defined new roles, advertised positions, interviewed candidates, and ultimately made hiring decisions. It offered practical insights for job seekers and a unique perspective on company culture and recruitment practices.
My Role & Contributions
As co-creator, organizer, and executive producer, my involvement was comprehensive:
- Concept Development: Co-developed the initial show concept, format, and narrative structure aimed at balancing information with entertainment.
- Organization & Logistics: Managed key organizational aspects, including securing participation from companies, coordinating filming schedules, and overseeing logistical requirements.
- Executive Production: Oversaw the production lifecycle across two seasons, ensuring alignment with the show's vision, managing resources, and guiding the production team from pre-production through post-production and final delivery for broadcast and digital distribution.
- Content Strategy: Contributed to shaping the storytelling approach to ensure the hiring process was presented clearly and engagingly for a broad audience.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge: Gaining access and building trust with companies to transparently showcase their internal hiring processes on television.
Solution: Developed a clear value proposition for participating companies, emphasizing positive employer branding and educational outreach. Established clear protocols and agreements to ensure confidentiality and respectful portrayal.
Challenge: Making the potentially dry subject of hiring engaging and entertaining for a reality TV format.
Solution: Focused on human stories within the process – the perspectives of hiring managers, the experiences of candidates, and the dynamics of decision-making. Utilized strong narrative editing and visual storytelling techniques.
Challenge: Managing the complex logistics of filming within multiple corporate environments across two full seasons.
Solution: Implemented detailed pre-production planning, maintained clear communication channels with all stakeholders (companies, crew, broadcast partners), and adapted schedules flexibly to accommodate real-world business operations.
